My life, My memory, My dream

A girl's best friend can be many things - from diamonds (the famous saying) to accessories to clothing items to shopping and many many more. And today I've discovered another best friend of mine - to have very nice nails done!

Sister was on leave today, and she wanted to go for a pedicure & manicure. We had discovered a place which quotes the price of RM48 for first timers. A pretty good offer for both pedi + mani together. How could we not try that, right? =) I had saved the telephone down earlier (months ago) and it came to use today... Made an appointment and went for it. Was not planning to do pedicure as it seems like a waste on my super small nails. But, it is an offer so might as well take it, and don't complain. Haha..

Ta-da! The end results of my French nails.. Lurve em'!

Small nails don't hinder me from getting them done =) Claps for the girl who did it! I myself couldn't get my nails done properly, and yet she made it beautiful.

Ahhh... I'm so obssessed with my nails right now.. *smiles*

All in a sudden, I felt slow... and old. 2009 marks an important year for most of my friends - secondary mates in particular. It's their graduation year, and I foresee myself attending convocations later in August. It's the end of school holidays, study weeks, and semester breaks for them. And most importantly no more exams too! (this is what I envy most... )

Ever since 2 years ago, friends around me left one by one - some went and pursue their studies, some already entered the working society. But, never once I felt so empty like now. We used to study together, having the same dream, to graduate together, attending each other's convo. But it seems like I've left them, yes I chose the pathway myself, so there shouldn't be any regrets. And yet, I do feel a bit of lonely without them.

No one will be free to hang out with me anymore..
No more frequent "yum cha" sessions at night - everyone gotta work the next day.
No more common topics as we used to have - they are working, I'm studying... we have gap!
No one will layan my childish-ness... ><

Although we are not on the same pace anymore, I sincerely wish you all good luck in job-hunting. I know it's kinda hard to search for job nowadays, let alone your ideal one. But, whatever it is, whatever it takes, never give up hopes! Miracle only happens when you believe in it. To those who already got hold of a job, congrats on your first ever permanent job! You've get rid of the part-timers era. =)

All the best in facing the whole new world - welcome to the society. I've always heard about the "harshness" of living the world outside. But, I blelieve all of you will do very well out there. Meanwhile, I'll be enjoying my study life to the max until I'm prepared and ready to meet the worst. :p

I'm so left out far far behind. Don't you think so?

One piece of my happy memory... ^.^

On a sunny Monday morning, dear and I met at my house and we went to Sri Petaling LRT station. We were supposed to meet 'sai lou' at BTR station, and then to Titiwangsa station together ( bus scheduled at 11am). Things went well until the point we were stuck at Sri Petaling station. We missed few trains due to our silliness (more to mine - and I do not wish to say why here...) >< "Guess yu have to run... Lol" Naughty fella.. Cis! Despite all, we managed to get into the bus on time. And we didn't run, we took our time walking. *phew* Our sleeping plan was screwed up when we started playing cards. Played ALL THE WAY for 4 hours journey. Crazy... ><. The weather is so hot, that we felt reluctant to leave her air-cond room. Later in the evening, darling brought us to "da bao" the famous nasi dagang. Oh, and not to forget.. I saw chickens flying up to trees here. So weird! I've never had nasi dagang before and thus were very surprised to find out it's only white rice with curry fish. We (dear, 'sai lou' and I) agreed that is was good although it's weird. Haha.. The 'keropok lekor' tasted so much better than the ones I had in KL. We then went out with darling to meet some of her Kuantan friends - and little did we know, our adventure of seeking dark little secrets in Kuantan begin. Nightlife in Kuantan is very different from how I see it in KL, or I should say I've never went to these places before and never tried seeing these things before. People who are interested to know what I've discovered - send me a private msg. I'll reply you privately... *evil laughter*

We tried waking up earlier on the 2nd day in attempt to eat chicken rice as our brunch. According to darling, this chicken rice sells off as early as 12.30pm. Woah.. it must have very good business. Of course, we managed to eat it cause we reached by 11 sth. Later on in the evening, we went to Teluk Cempedak beach and explored small little crabbies. =) So cute!!! Then being adventurous, we climbed rocks and jumped little rivers. I only recall myself hugging a big rock, refusing to let go as I'm scared of falling. The idea of darling to pick up my squashed brains do
scared me a little. "Don't worry la
.. If you fall and smashed ur head, I'll pick up your brains". After all climbing, it's time to walk. We crossed a bridge and saw cyclists doing stunts. The best thing is to find dinner waiting for you at home after a tiring day outside. Thanks to darling's mum, we found the best thing. =) Then, it's time to explore nightlife again.. This time we tried something different from what we usually do. Details shall not be revealed to protect the privacy of my dear, darling and 'sai lou'. Hahaha.. Anyway, we did experienced something new.

Awww.. They look so cute!

Dear and I

Up high! Above sealevel.. :p

We woke up late in the afternoon on the 3rd day here. We practically dragged ourselves out from the bed... Lunch was fried chicken at a roadside stall outside darling's house. Seriously this fried chicken tasted better than KFC! And definitely much more cheaper... yummy. After much considerations, we headed for the zoo. How long have I not visit a zoo? 10 years? Or maybe more than that. Despite the super hot weather, we couldn't hide our excitement upon seeing bear, peacock, ostriches, monkeys.. and many more. Suddenly, I feel like an 8 year old again. :p Thanks to darling's daddy, we got a treat of seafood dinner at night. For supper, we went to tried 'ikan + sotong bakar'. We went last night but we were late and the last portion was sold out. (I realized Kuantan's food sell off real fast!) After trying, we decided it was really good. No wonder it sells off so quickly. Later, darling brought us to a river night cruise. Too bad, the night cruise is only available on Fri and Sat night. We only managed to look around and took some photos. The night scenery was beautiful, but not the smell of the river. Yucks...

A picture taken in the zoo

A must order drink if you are here - "leong fun shuen gam"

Before...

... and after. Okay, we finished it real fast too ><

A romantic cruise for 2 if you don't mind the smelly river =p

With my darling, and my dear.

The night is still young! Darling brought us to a very nice cafe. Tjantek is it's name. The shophouse survived a war back in 1928 and was preserved until it became a cafe with an art studio upstairs. The cafe is decorated with old antiques, and with slow song in the background accompanied with small degree of light - the place is oh-so-romantic. We can even choose to sit in sofas with pillows, or the private seats within a jungle-like decor, or wooden chairs with nostalgic feel. In here, we took loads of photos and at last reluctantly left. Tonight is our last night in Kuantan - and that means tomorrow morning is our last attempt for the sunrise. To save the morning groans and moans, we decided not to sleep - but to watch "Coming Soon" (a thai horror flick) at 3am in a dark air-cond room. Scary I must admit. I ended up holding sai lou's hands until I heard the sound "crack.." I almost sprained his hand.. Aww... poor thing.

We shall return to this place one day somehow =)

The last morning I'm here seems to be a bit cloudy... We reached Pantai Beserah at 6am sharp. We waited for the sunrise and at last I was disappointed again. The sky is too cloudy and the sun is totally blocked. We waited some more in hopes to see miracle. Even there's no sunrise, we hoped to see cotton candy sky - the blue, white and pink layers of sky... While waiting, we saw a big crabbie, and played with it. Then, we left our names on the beach, pointing towards the sky - imagining lots of creatures above there, saw a launched rocket / satellite.. I cannot be sure of what it was. Most importantly, we took pictures. =) We enjoyed eventhough there's no sunrise in the end.

The night is still dark @ Pantai Beserah

Patiently waiting for miracle to happen.

At last, miracle didn't happen. We left our names expressing the disappointment of NO sunrise.

A tiny bit of sunray was enough to take our breath away...

Finally, it's time to leave Kuantan. Once we were up in the bus, we dozed off into dreamland, wanting to replenish our sleep which we lost the night before. Seriously, this trip is all about eating and eating only. Wonder how many kgs I've put on for this trip.. Cheers for another successful trip! ^^

The sad faces leaving Kuantan.. and darling.

This update was supposed to be before that Redang post. This is how I lived my life immediately after exams. It's all about shopping and hanging out with friends. Ever since the last paper ended on 20th May, I've never really stayed at home for the next 2 weeks. you'll either caught me dead at MidValley shopping till I drop, or might be hanging out with my friends yum cha-ing...

Masterpiece of Terri darling, Zhan-yit "sai lou" and I - our possession after the exams.

Our target is to finish one puzzle after every semester. Very ambitous indeed.

Lepak immediately after our last paper - having lunch @ McD.

After shopping at Sunway Pyramid - dinner @ Kaki corner.

Me and my "family".

The term "family" comes by when someone called me on my cell, asking "are u having family with ur family?" I thought for a second before answering "yalor..." Okay, I lied, but I had my reasons. But, am still happy having them as my "family". =)

3 cheeky ones! :p

Happy Holidays, my dear friends!! See ya guys the next semester. =) *hugs*

I remember telling myself "I'll visit this place again in the future I believe..." And, here I am again back from my 2nd Redang trip. Things have not change much since I left Redang 2 years ago. The place still look exactly the same it was - with bright sun, white sandy beaches, and crystal clear seawater. However, this time I went with another different bunch of people (my coursemates), and thus have a total different perception and "feel" about this trip. It was a fun one, but also a tiring and uncomfortable one for me. The reason of being uncomfortable is not going to be explain here.

I can still recall the moments we spent together as a large group of friends during our previous semester break. 10++ of us wandering around in shopping complexes, having luxurious dinner, watching horror movie... One semester went by, and it seems small groups are forming within this large group, however we still try to maintain the joy of being in a large group - and thus this trip is to unite us. =)

After packing during the day, I'm ready to set out for the trip. Was arranged to meet my coursemates at LRT station by 8.30pm. For some reason, everyone was quite punctual. Maybe the excitement has set it. Our bus was scheduled at 10pm. I sat with "sai lou", and after the lights were turned off, we were still talking, until Terri woke up from her 1st hour's sleep and joined us. Then we managed to catch a couple hours of sleep, and then cursing when we reached Kuala Tereanggau (KT) as early as 5.10am. What are we going to do?!!

Nvm... we can play cards.. In the end, I lost until no mood..

This tims we stayed at Redang Bay. (yes, the same resort I stayed 2 years ago.. ) Redang Bay's bus came and dropped us in town to have our brea
kfast. Then we headed to the jetty and ready to meet Redang Island. =)

Before wearing life-saver's jacket.. =)

and after...

Welcome to Redang Bay resort.. and meet Save the Earth's Green team ^^

Among the snorkelling, eating, and sleeping part.. Birthday celebrations are held for 3 lucky people ( and I'm one of them.. ). This turned out unexpectedly for me as my birthday was half a month ago.

Me with my birthday "ice-cream" =) Another birthday girl next to me.

Birthday boy in red! That's his pressie from ALL OF US =)

My 2 favourite photos of the entire trip ^.^

Trip was ended with a tiring bus journey back home. We slept throughout the 8 hours without really waking up at all.

My disappointements from this trip?
I didn't get to meet an old friend as I was at Longbeach, she at Berjaya Resort.
I didn't get to see sunrise.. again!!

Other than that, all is fine i guess. Another satisfied outing with my coursemates.

Tonight, I've received a very shocking news. Someone - I'm not sure if I should know him or not, has passed away. A thread message was sent to me, and I saw the people involved in the conversation were people I know. Might be because of this, I was sent the message as I was misunderstood of knowing him or might be his acquaintance. No matter I know him or I do not, reading about his news did shocked me. He was from my secondary school. I never knew him in person, but I do know he existed. Someone familiar went away - and I feel terribly bad. The feeling was so awful I felt like crying as it must be a great loss to his family and friends. My condolences to them.

Life might not be great, but we will never know how long we can live. Do treasure life, my friends. Always try our best so not to have any regrets as we won't know what's waiting for us tomorrow.

To the one I could have known you if given a chance - May you rest in peace.

I've received complaints for abandoning my blog for 30-days. For the past one month, I could say God's been fair to me as I've been through good and bad times. Exam papers seems to be tiring me little by little, day by day, torturing me slowly until I could feel myself wear out. It's fortunate I found myself de-stressing but at the same time able to study for the papers, when a study group was formed with 2 of my coursemates. We somehow called ourselves the MSG (Mobile Study Group), as we were moving around among 3 houses - and mind you, we really did study day and night, sleeping for only 5-6 hours a day. Our normal sleeping time? Earliest is 4am.. latest would be 7am. The only time we didn't study was during our shower I guess. We practically eat, drink, and sleep together for the whole study break. There were times when we crossed the line, and being naughty - but I seriously felt I've never studied so hard during my entire 22 years of living.

The works during naughty times.

I always thought if I believe in myself of capable of doing one thing, then I'll be able to do it. However, Organic Chemistry proved me wrong. I looked around people around me in the exam hall, busy writing in their answer booklet, and there I was staring at the questions with my mind half-blank. Scribbling noises were heard, and everyone seems to know all the answers, and I can't help but cursing myself for not remembering the mechanisms that I should have easily write out after all the notes-doing and memorizing preparation. Why do I NOT KNOW how to do just when the questions change a slightest bit? At that moment, I knew I screwed the paper, and damage was done. Problems will come looking for me soon after the holidays.

But again, holidays is meant to have fun. I've studied hard, and I promised myself that I will play equally hard, no.. is harder during my sem break. Afterall, I can only enjoy myself for 2 weeks, before the deadly results are out. It seems I've packed my days too full with activities, which hardly gives me the chance to stay at home and rest more as I've wanted to. Sleep is even harder to get nowadays. When exam ended, I've been busy with our last group assignment, and shopping for my Pharmacy night and Redang stuff. When I'm already so busy, my baby car gave me problems. Things always come to my way when i desperately need them to be done. i think I'm in some kind of bad luck. (People around me felt it too.. ><) Shall work harder for the things I want!!

My birthday was celebrated with my ex
am papers. 15th is my day, but I had papers on 14th and 16th. So, you see.. God treated me well enough =)

Darling, Honey and "sai lou" surprised me with this birthday cake during our study. I love u guys!! Thanks for the effort although it's exam period, when everyone's super busy to remember when's my birthday. And it's exactly 15th May when this surprise caught me in shock. =)

A belated celebration from my beloved daddy, mummy, brother and sister =)

Wanna fast fast cut my strawberry shortcake! ^^
