My life, My memory, My dream

Also known as the toilet roll birthday 😂😂😂
This week, I managed to go back home for birthday with my family. Not expecting any celebrations cause it's still conditional movement control order (CMCO) afterall. Had a small warm celebration with my family, and of course mummy cooked a table full of my favourite food.
Thank you daddy, mummy, gor and jie ❤
My adventurous bunch made dinner plans, and for the first time in 3 months I had steamboat. Throughout dinner, the house was filled with our laughter and non-stop chats. The girls bought me a cake, but little did I know it was a toilet roll shape. I burst into laughter and broke into tears when the cake was brought out. These girls really do know the way to my heart with their mischievous ways.
My adventurous bunch
A big thank you to my dear who never failed to be there for my birthday.
"A true friend is someone who would always love you - the imperfect you, the confused you, the wrong you."  Dear is exactly someone like this, seen me at my worst and yet accepting me for who I am.
Surprise delivery of dear's handmade burnt cheese cake
This birthday, I learnt something new. It doesn't takes much effort to be happy when I'm surrounded by my family and chosen family. I do not know how many more years we will be keeping in touch, or how long we will be friends, but I know many many years later even if we meet again you girls are still family by heart.

Finally, I've joined the 30s Club - officially, no turning back. This piece is necessary for those people who made my birthday extra amazing this year. Birthday celebrations started as early as 2 weeks before the actual date. Just 2 Sundays before birthday came, I was blessed to have my Powerpuff w me (just like the usual years before), and we had a nice brunchie w long chats.

Thank you Powerpuffs :)
Then, on the Friday right before birthday, I had a small but warm-hearted celebration w my family. These people who gave me life, and everything in life - I thank God to have them, and forever be grateful that I'm the youngest in the family (not anymore after baby Ethan is born). Thank you for showering me w the best, and gave me the most amazing moments and always be there for me no matter how hard I fall. Thank you for all the support and encouragement, and being my strength pillars. W all my heart, I wished upon the candle on my cake - that we will forever be healthy and happy as we are now. We don't get to choose our family, but if there's afterlife I would wanna be apart of this family all over again, and again, and again.

My birthday bundle!
On the actual day, I have a date w dear. And as all the years before, she never missed my birthdays. Even when she was away to study, there were calls and birthday cards from afar. And this year makes no exception. Dear said she will be the chauffeur for the day, all I have to do is to get dressed and wait for her to come pick us for dinner. As we reached the cafe, and I pushed open the glass door - there I was surprised by these lovely bunch of girls. They had been here since secondary school days, and we had shared so much and so many stories to tell. We were always together during life events, and supported each other at difficult times. Thank you my fair ladies, my happy pills for celebrating this special moment w me as I join you all last in this 30s club. We didn't grow older, we grow wiser :)

My fairladies, #myhappypills
Special thanks to this girl next to me, not only on this particular day but throughout my whole life till' now - braving me through life's ups and downs, picking me up when I hit the ground, slapping me with harsh truth when she needs to, putting sense into me, and plainly just be there for me no matter when I needed her or not. Thank you for being a sister from another mother, showing me kindness and pampering me all the time. Your surprise is yet another success - the blue Magdalene cake and that bunch of sweet pink roses definitely filled my heart much. 30 is not gonna be the same without you. Here's to many more birthdays together! ♥️

Forever my Dearie

This is definitely one birthday to be remembered :)

Very quickly, time past and birthday was here again last two weeks. As I grow older, lesser the friends I spend my time with - the ones left are my family, dear and a few more close friends who are here for me no matter what happens. I guess this are friends for life.

After birthday past, I know I have merely another 16 weeks to a year at Temerloh now. When I first came to this unfamiliar place and staying away from home for the first time, other than the tiny tinge of excitement, all left was just fear and endless worries. However, I'm glad that I'm finally settling in and got to know some kind and helpful colleagues as well as new friends. People here do not stay - they come and go, and each time when someone leaves, I do not know if we will see each other again.

Staying away from home gives me the freedom that I've never had before. A snap of idea on what I want to do next, I can just make it happen. However, staying alone too means being responsible to myself and independent at all times. I've experienced things I've never imagine myself doing before - I now can eat alone, jog alone, sleep alone in an empty house, even coming to the cinema to watch movie alone. The body immune system seems to be building up too when I'm alone. Without the endless care and homecooked food from mummy, just a night's of long sleep makes the body recovers fully the very next morning.

Other than being alone during on call times, I have a bunch of friends that I laugh and eat with every night, play badminton on every Tuesday night, sometime movies on Wednesdays - I think life isn't at all bad here.

But no matter what, home is still where the heart is. I will return, someday soon.

112 days left at Temerloh..

Taken and arranged by my lovely dear :)

Like everyone else, I too grew up. My 26th birthday this year (quietly telling myself to not celebrate anymore birthdays after 30 - oopsie, another 4 years!) Well, maybe not. Birthdays always give me warm memories with my loved ones.

Birthday morning was greeted by Terrina by the gate. Came here to do a birthday hair-do for me so that I could go out prettily later. As always, birthday wouldn't be complete without having dear by my side. Like a special date, I was brought to a nice cafe which serves authentic coffee followed by a movie and a birthday pressie after. And nope, the celebration didn't just end there.

At night, met up with my family for a Korean dinner and ended with a green tea cake prepared by brother. My day wasn't a luxurious nor lavish one but simple and lovely enough. All I needed was to be with my loved ones. Thank you for letting my life worthwhile, for all these 26 years.

p/s: And hey, it was good to hear your voice after so long. I didn't know I missed u so. So u were there all along, deep down in the heart.

Almost an April Fool's baby, he was born on April 2nd. Prolly' because nearing to this date, that's why he's a witty charming baby boy. Although he drove us crazy sometimes with his mischievous ways, but always managed to melt our hearts with only a mere smile. Becoming one - learning how to talk, how to walk is the cutest age ever.

Baby boy's one year old birthday cake

The happy parents :)

Eyeing only on the largest pressie!

Still remember the day when he was born, so tiny so fragile and now a strong healthy boy. Lil' nephew, I *hearts* you!

I wanted to be there on your birthday, like how you did on mine. It's not easy to see you nowadays, and even more harder to be alone with you. I insisted to own your time on Saturday night, stubbornly wanted a meet up although I know you are tired. Dinner was simple and relaxing, quiet without the interference of others, only us chatting and laughing occasionally.

It was only 11.30pm when you almost reached my home, 30 minutes more to your birthday! I need to buy some time, so it left me with no choice but to asked you to pull over your car. Time seems to have frozen when I need it to speed up. Finally, decided to just give you your pressies before 12am. But, I insisted to only say "Happy Birthday" when the right time comes.

The moment you pulled over, memories came flooding my mind. We did that before, when you sent me home for the first time. We stopped at that same exact spot, talking in the car, enjoying each other's company. Your touch felt warm, the way you patted my head felt similar. It feels like the days we've just got close with each other. Then, I realized "Ah... yes. We've come this far." It's almost a year now.

We continued chatting some more when midnight passed, and ended the night with a warm hug. Happy birthday, bie. This is the first birthday I'm with you alone, and probably the last one. I'm glad you like the pressies and my new fringe that I have. =)

The same question played in my mind for many times, two days before my birthday. "Will you be here on my birthday?" Like how I wanted you to promise me. But after the leaving on that morning, I realised whether or not you could fulfill that promise is no longer that important. Because, important is I hope I could still smile when I see you.

The day started slow with a healthy morning jog. I never really liked jogging, but this time around the jog brought me far from unnecessary thoughts. I found out that while I jogged in this big park, there are so many routes that I can take to reach the endpoint. It's the same in life, there are so many roads to be taken, some farther, some nearer. But, so long the road I choose is the one that brings me to the endpoint while being happy in the process then the distance does not matters so much, isn't it?

After resting properly, it's time for celebration. Finallyyyyy, I got to watch this long-awaiting movie - The Avengers! As what we have promised each other, all dears must watch this together. We have waited for the exams to end, waited for dear to come back from Taiwan, waited till' the gala night was over, waited and waited and waited...

My favourite superhero: Agent Natasha Romanoff. So cool, too cool  =)

Must-watch-movies list consider checked. Both Battleship and The Avengers. And how glad I am, you were with me for these two movies, sat right beside me, fed me with popcorns.

Dinner was joined by another 2 more good friends. Went to Brotzeit for the first time (again, it reminded me that we said we wanted to try this restaurant. I know that's the reason why you suggested it too... I think I reminded you some moments of ours too) Food was good, but the company was even better. I've listened to you guys singing me birthday song for 4 times! I felt heads turned to our side in the restaurant, and my cheeks were burned with flames, and yet I can't help smiling. You guys brought me so much laughter.

The big dinner!

I wished, I blew, I cut - Thank you loves!
With the girls

With the guys

Lastly, a drive up to Genting completed my day. Having drinks, and few rounds of Monopoly card games made our bonding stronger. We didn't "fan toi" in the end, did we? =)
On the way back in the car, I was silent for a few moments. Cause' you were sitting next to me, and I can't help but to think back that was the same exact situation when you first held my hand. Back then, you held me in your hugs and slid your hand into mine, trying to put me to sleep with your gentle strokes. I was wondering if you thought of that night when we first hugged, even for a second because that was a piece of memory that only we both shared.

Birthday only needs to be this way. Simple and warm, with those who love me and I love.

Little joy of the day: Was relieved that I not could only smile when I was with you, but I could laugh as well. I guess things between us didn't change much.

It's not easy to find a bunch of crazieeee friends, and it's even harder to get them kind and loyal despite being crazy. How could i not count my blessings if I own them, knowing they will be here if I need them. I couldn't count the number of times we had a gathering / party like this. But, I could count the number of times left for us to spend together. The day we met felt like yesterday, and in a blink of an eye... Graduation day is approaching. How many times more can we organise something like this?

Happpiieee Burffday, honeybee! =)

It's the first time in these 6 years, I have forgotten to be the first one to wish you Happy Birthday. I couldn't believe myself when I woke up this morning realising that you did not crossed my mind at all when the clock struck 12 last night. Last year, I almost forgot but didn't. This year I guess, you are finally out of my mind. I can finally stop feeling being obliged to be the first one to wish you every year. Although I did not wish you like every other years, I still hope that you had a great birthday because to me, you are always a little bit different from the others. A little bit more important, a little bit more special because you and I shared memories that others do not have. Happy Birthday, my old friend. May you have many many happy returns of the day, surrounded by your loved ones. =)

Yups... I am surrounded by November babies! (all in a family actually) Year end is always happening to me cause there are a lot of celebrations going on, and when November ends, it's time for Christmas, my favourite festive season. When there are celebrations, it means pressie-buying time, and that also means I gotta starve for the next few months... But, when I see their happy faces upon pressie-opening time, I feel it's all worth it =)

Celebrations of the year:

Sister's birthday on 08/11/11, Mum's birthday on 10/11/11 (Home & Victoria Station)
p/s: Mum didn't wanna get into the picture >.<

Brother's special birthday celebration on 11/11/11 (Double tree Hilton)

It's an exception that I'm blogging in green today - because it's dearie's birthday! (well a belated post... actually, but am glad to have met her on her exact big-day) =)

To start off with this, I promised to write her a 1000 of touching words to compensate her for the short-written birthday card I gave her. And so here I am, trying to challenge my writing skills once more, maybe not 1000 words but sufficient to express what I wanna say...

"My Dear,

This year is a day that we obey to celebrate like how you said because your birthday falls on 1/11/11. And it also marks the 11th year of the starting of our friendship. Very memorable, huh? =)

During high school, we talked about our ambitions, our dreams. We longed for the years to past by and having our own cars and limitless freedom so that we can see each other more often. We imagined ourselves having boyfriends, looking forward to college life and can’t wait to grow up. And indeed, time didn’t wait for us… We’ve grown up, driving our own cars to college, had relationships and had break-ups. We were excited about our first loves, and had our hearts broken. Because of you, broken heart is mendable, and wounds can recover.

We being there for each other for all these years is a miracle. Our friendship itself is a magical bond. It is a wonder when it comes to u, where we can never get tired of seeing each other, and having endless topics to talk about. There were times when we almost drifted apart, but thank God we’ve pulled it altogether.

People say to strengthen a relationship, sometimes we need some quarrels and arguments. Now that I thought of it, we did had a very unhappy time in the past (if you still remembers), and that encounter taught me that I should appreciate this friendship. From that experience, I learnt from you that saying sorry is more important than self-ego, and how important it is to forgive and forget. Thank you my dear to have let me learned something valuable in the process of developing a trustworthy friendship between us.

It’s amazing how much of memories, ups and downs we’ve shared for the past one decade. It is a comfort to know that no matter how rough the road in front is, we know we will do just fine because at the end of the journey, we know we have someone who will always be there for us (like you and me). Thank you for being a friend, a companion, a sister – someone who wipes my tears when I cry, keeps me warm when I’m cold, lends me a shoulder to lean on when I’m tired, and catches me from the back when I fall.

So, on this very special day of yours, I wish for you endless happiness and joyful moments in life, and may all your dreams come true for every candles you’ve blown. (Oh, and more luck you need I guess *winks*)

Last but not least, I thank you, my dear for creating a presence in my life, being a part of my life. I love you. Always have, always will.”

As for the little celebration over a cuppa hot drink, and comfy late-afternoon chats... I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Can't hide my smile when I see her screaming in joy having to see Ms Diana as her birthday pressie (it's her wishlist!)

Top: Her new toy - Missy Diana, and we love everything in white =)

Not to forget our self-shots =)

Me: Sigh... I doubt the genie will help me even if he's not on leave.. =(
MT: They aren't so trustworthy anyway. We gotta be our own genie!

And the next day...
Thank you for the angel sent. Although it's not a genie, but I guess they are the same =)
Even before I started reading it, I already love this book. Thank you for this heart-warming gift. It means a lot.

Surprise!!! My 2nd time blowing out candle this year =)

Don't you just love those tiny little hearts?? <3 <3

I am blessed with friends who love me as much as I love them. After the surprise dinner last week, there's another surprise for me. I can never forget my 24th, can I?

As much as I hated my university, my dean... I guess I still made the right decision into coming this course. Because I am able to meet you guys. =)

I didn't know that there is still birthday celebration awaits me as birthday had long passed for 2 weeks. This time around, it really had become a surprise because I really thought it's a simple dinner as few of us always have dinner together. This birthday is a very warm one, spent with my closest friends and family. I am glad that everyone came because of me. Time always passed by quickly when we were having happy chats, good laughs, nice foods, and to forget the annoying phone call from a friend faraway. I guess everyone had a good time although tired.

THANK YOU <3

Backdated Post I - Actual event took place on 24/10/08

It's dear's early birthday celebration (actual birthday on 1/11) from Caryn, Bin and I. We've thought to perfection but things turned out so-so only. But, the most important is that dear enjoyed the day. =)

Whenever 4 of us are together. we'll go wild laughing at everything, and taking photos like mad. We were to plan a surprise for her, so we asked to meet up at 3pm. Caryn and I went all the way to Bangsar looking for a gift, candles, and cup cakes... Things didn't out fine as we were hindered by traffic jam, glittering candles that cannot be burned, cupcake shop which is located at an unknown place, and we walked all the way to North Point to make for a reservation for 4 at Ninja Jones.

Despite all, we did enjoyed the process - although we complained. We started the day with dear with a movie - High School Musical 3: Senior Year.

Teenage movie with lots of dancing and singing - makes me miss high school more than ever...

I have no idea how this arrangement comes by...

Whole table full of food!!

Itadakimasu!

Birthday girl with her cupcakes...

Celebration ended just like this... My dear, may you enjoy everyday no matter it's up or down.

The day when I first approached you to ask for a lift back home because I have no transportation was still a fresh memory in my mind. I could still feel my face burned red for asking this favor when we've only known for a short period of time. ( I don't normally jump into stranger's car.. =p) Then our friendship began when you offered to drive me back and fro from college to home. You solved my transportation problem, and I solved your fuel costs. We met every single day and spent almost every lunchtime together. We spent so much time together, I felt like something was missing when you left....

You taught me so much about branded stuff, I felt almost like an expert. You taught me all the roads which I could have never known because of my poor sense of directions. You taught me how to laugh like nobody's business, when your laughter itself made me smile.

The cat-eyes I'll always miss...

The one I spent crazy time with during all the trips!

The one who sit beside me all the time in classes.

The one whom I drink and dance with during my 21st...

The one I built a sandcastle with.

The one who came over and prepared a big eat-in!

The one who changed hairstyle every 6 months.

We spent silly time crying together when we thought Tiffany is leaving us - but you left us instead... We spent crazy time sticking out our heads of the car, enjoying the cold-wind blowing off our hairs... We spent endless time talking nonsense, gossiping around, laughing about almost every single thing... We shared our beds, our drinks, our food and uncountable moments of camwhoring together... We went to the airport to see Cindy off early in the morning and found that we've been fooled - but we never got angry and again went for the second time, crying together...

You're the one I left great memories in UCSI with.

So, there YOU are. Finally 20 this year! Muackksss.. I love you! ^^

My dear, I know it's difficult for you to adapt in the new environment in UK, but I know you'll be doing well there. Although we are far apart, but I read your blog every now and then, so I could catch up with your latest news.. Call me "busybody".... Bluek =p

Do spend your birthday with joy, although you might feel homesick. Cause we are all here wishing you a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

With lots and lots and lots of love from Malaysia, Min Nah =)
